Aerolite Japanese Hitachi Stainless Steel Pro Hair Cutting Scissors – Best Affordable Hair Cutting Shears

These hybrid hair cutting shears by Aerolite Scissor Company are highly rated and also come in at an affordable price.

The company has come up with a special manufacturing process to make their tools one solid and seamless piece. Hence why they use the word “hybrid”.

You can get them in both 5.5” and 6” in length and they are made using the finest Hitachi ATS-314 stainless steel which is the highest grade of steel used to make the best shears.

The handles are made from military grade aircraft alloy which make them very light and easy to handle causing minimal stress on the hands, arms and shoulders.

The blades are sharpened using diamond point abrasives for long lasting sharpness and durability. Aerolite claims that this way of sharpening keeps hair healthier after being cut compared to common Japanese convex blades.  They are then perfectly aligned by machines using special computer software.

Talk about an advanced pair of scissors!

Note on Damascus Steel

In my research I found that true Demascus steel has not been produced since the 1700’s but in the last 50 years has been made using similar properties of the real thing. It’s referred to as “Modern Demascus” and although it’s not exactly what was used up until the 17th century, it is still the strongest you can find.

Pros

Pros
  • Damascus steel
  • Unbelievably sharp blades
  • Great for multi-tasking
  • Beautiful design
  • Luxury Case

Kamisori Diablo Professional Hair Cutting Shear – Best Hair Cutting Shears for Professionals

One of the most popular scissors by Kamisori is the Diablo which comes out of their dragon collection. I think the beautiful thing about this is that it’s a great looking high-end shear made by the best in the business but at a very reasonable price.

It comes with a gorgeous engraved handle and a sharp convex edge blade made from genuine Japanese 440C steel that is built to maintain its sharpness longer than other shear brands. It has a rockwell hardness of 59.

The one I’ve listed here is the 5.5” model but you can also get it in 5” and 6”.

The main difference between this and the Emerald listed above is the grade of steel and sharpness. Everything else is similar in that it also has an offset handle, fixed finger rest and super durable ball-bearing system.

If you want an amazing shear for the best value, these are hands down the ones to get. Expect these to easily last you 15 – 20 years.

This kit is all you need to do a nice haircut anywhere.  The 7” is very well balanced and let’s you cut like you’re using a 5.5” shear.

While not the lightest scissors on the market, they aren’t very heavy and feel great in your hands. For their weight and blade sharpness, many users found that they performed just as well as most shears that are twice the price.

If you’re in need of some good quality stylish shears for a good price, this kit is definitely recommended.

This is a great set for the price. Most sets like this could cost hundreds of dollars to get shears that cut as well as these do. It comes with a nice variety of scissors that provide a smooth cut. They are definitely a great beginner set but will do just fine for any professional as well.

A few things worth mentioning are that some found that the blades became dull within 6 months of use and it came with a plain black case that did not have the design on it as advertised.
